Reclaiming Connections Facilitator Workshop
Training Overview
The training consists of six half-days. On the first day, we introduce foundational concepts from the study of attachment, trauma, and child development, and the translation of these concepts into clinical practice. On the following days, we will introduce key attachment principles and their clinical application through role-plays, reflection exercises, and discussions. Practitioners will gain an understanding of key drivers of attachment security and the importance of collaborative partnerships with parents in promoting change. There is also an experiential component to the workshop where practitioners will engage in small group interactive practices with fellow trainees.
How to become a certified Connect group facilitator?
To become a Connect group facilitator and run Connect groups, you are required to complete a two-step training and certification process.

Is there a shorter workshop for people who are interested in learning more about Connect?
If you wish to gain an overview of the Connect program, you can sign up for the “Connect Foundation”. This would allow you to observe and participate in the first two days of the online Connect facilitator training workshop (first day if the workshop is in-person).
This introductory session provides an in-depth review of the foundations of the Connect program, its structure, key targets of intervention, mechanisms of change and evidence. You will also participate in segments of the first four Connect sessions.
Please note that participation in the ‘Connect Foundation’ is not sufficient to become a Connect facilitator. Completion of the full Connect facilitator training is required for the purpose of Connect facilitator training and certification.
